Teledyne Relays Announce the RF312 Series 8.0GHz Relay

Teledyne Relays introduces a new series of DPDT ultraminiature relays that delivers RF performance over a DC to 8.0GHz bandwidth. The new RF312 exhibits high levels of repeatability and tests show it is capable of transmitting data signals at high integrity up to 12GBps. The RF312 incorporates the unique construction features of all Teledyne relays including the all resistive welding of internal components and connections. Advanced cleaning techniques during manufacture and the combination of Teledyne Relays proprietary contact alloy, in house plating and the relay's internal nitrogen atmosphere all contribute to ensure reliable switching, repeatability and outstanding lifetime performance.

The RF312 is designed for use in load-boards, attenuator, RF and signal switching applications where a high level of switch stability and switched signal integrity is vital. The RF312 datasheet provides detail on the RF characteristics to 8.0GHz, and includes an eye diagram demonstrating the exceptional level of signal integrity to 10Gbps. Additional features are a high resistance to electrostatic discharge (ESD), high isolation between control and signal paths and a choice of ground pin configurations to improve case grounding.

The relay is RoHS compliant, with through-hole mounting, and a choice of 5 or 12 vdc coils. Overall dimensions are 9.4mm diameter, 8.3mm above the board height and a mass of 2.6g.
