Teledyne Relays Announces Online Product Search Function for Selecting Relays and Swtiches

HAWTHORNE, Calif. (July 1, 2005) - Teledyne Relays today launched a new online parametric search function to help engineers select specific relays or switches based on a wide variety of characteristics.

The search function is available for solid-state relays as well as electromechanical relays and coaxial switches. As users choose options from drop-down menus from a list of parameters, the search engine indicates how many devices are available that meet the selected criteria. Users can stop anytime to review results or continue refining their choices down to a single device.

The Product Search for solid-state relays combines hermetically sealed military relays and plastic industrial power relays, thus providing multiple solutions for the same application. Some of the search parameters are relay function, operating line voltage, maximum line current, mounting type, short-circuit/overload protection, thermal protection and current limiting.

The Product Search for electromechanical relays and coaxial switches combines connectorized switches with PCB-mount relays to offer several solutions. Parameters include switch type, contact configuration, connector type or pins, frequency range and mounting style.
