Teledyne Relays Announces Application Notes for Innovative 10-GHz RF522 Relay

HAWTHORNE, Calif. (June 13, 2005) - Teledyne Relays today released application notes for its new Series RF522 relay - a compact, DPDT, surface-mount latching device characterized up to 10 GHz.

The paper provides a detailed description of how Teledyne mounts the RF522 onto evaluation test boards. The surface mounting information, printed circuit board (PCB) artwork for circuit traces and RF ground plane configurations are used for mounting a single relay on a single evaluation board.

The application notes also describe recommendations for RF522 rework and removal.

Accompanying the application notes are a data sheet, Smith charts and charts that compare the performance of the RF522 against competitive and other Teledyne RF relays.
