Teledyne Relays announce the newest of their surface mountable RF relays, the GRF172.

Switching frequencies up to 2.5GHz, applications for the GRF172 include telecommunications, test instruments, mobile communications, switched attenuators and ATE.

In addition to Insertion Loss, Isolation & VSWR the relay characterisation has been expanded to include Pulse Rise Time Propagation Delay and Repeatability.

As part of the Teledyne CentiGrid family of relays, the GRF172 has a low profile height of 8.4mm. Using only 0.73cm² of board area makes it well suited to applications requiring high packaging density and close circuit board spacing.

The unique ground shield feature isolates and shields each lead to ensure excellent insertion (< 0.3db) and return (VSWR < 1.1) loss and extremely high pole-to-pole isolation (> -45db).

The all welded metal can hermetically sealed construction not only provides robust shock, vibration, temperature, ESD resistance and EMI shielding, it also contributes to extremely long lifetime.

Available with a choice of DC coils, DPDT contacts and optional coil transient suppression diode, the GRF172 represents the latest in economic ultraminature high frequency RF switching.
