Teledyne Relays Introduces the 255 Series Half Crystal Can Relay - Magnetic Latching and RoHS Compliant.

Teledyne Relays continues to expand the switching products available for the space, aviation and military market with the introduction of the J255 Series magnetic latching Half Crystal Can hermetically sealed relay.

Qualified to MIL-PRF-39016/45, the J255 provides DPDT 2A/28VDC load switching capability with high levels of shock and vibration resistance and a temperature range of -65 to +125ºC.

The relay is pulse operated and requires no power to maintain the switched position making it ideal for applications where power is at a premium such in space programmes or battery operated equipment or where heat dissipation needs to be kept to a minimum.

The 255 Series commercial version has the same minimal switching power requirement and extremely robust environmental capabilities.

In addition to the 2A/28VDC load switching capability, the relay is also ideal for RF switching with a 0.2dB Insertion Loss at 1.0GHz, and a maximum frequency of 3.0GHz.

Using the latest production technology the 255 Series relay, when specified with the gold plated pin finish option, is RoHS Compliant and suitable for Lead Free processes.
